Silenced 2 The Overtaking is a young adult christian book. It is the second book in the Silenced series. In this book we pick up right where we left off with Amber the main character who is dealing with a lot in her life including the loss of her best friend. Howerver she has a secret that only her boyfriend knows, but she has begun loosing control of her emotions. Will she slip up and be found out? Is her secret safe? Will the pain ever end?
I really enjoyed this book. I read it from begining to end in around four hours. I just couldn't bring myself to put my kindle down until it was finished. I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next. I also really enjoyed the detail given to this book. This is truely some of the things that people go through with therapy. I think that this is a good read for parents as well as teens because it gives insight into mental illness and helps others to know that it is ok to get help with it. The only downside that I personally found with the book was that, for me, it was a little too preachy. However, as I have said earlier, I still really enjoyed it. I would reccomend this to any of my friends.

Silenced by RaeBeth Buda

http://www.amazon.com/Silenced-RaeBeth-McGee-Buda-ebook/dp/B00ANRBNDS/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1384719196&sr=1-5&keywords=silenced

Silenced by RaeBeth McGee Buda is a book that tells the story of a cutter named Amber. Her story is one that  not many people have heard before. It is filled with emotion from the first chapter to the last page. I felt what Amber felt, happiness, sadness, and all of her pain. I really enjoyed this book although it took me to a very dark place, as I was in the same place as Amber was once before. I like how Buda shows what cutting is really like and doesn’t sugar coat anything. I feel as though this is a book parents should read to maybe catch some warning signs for their children. They may seem like the happiest children in the world but this could still be going on. I loved this story and I can’t wait to continue to the next to see what lies in store for Amber in Silenced The Overtaking. Thank you for such a great read RaeBeth!

Sea of Secrets by Amanda Dewees is a historical romance/mystery story. It follows a girl named Oriel who is plagued to live a life with her evil father after the death of her mother (as an infant) and her beloved brother Lionel. She goes to live with her mothers side of the family when her father disowns her and finds herself in a new sort of drama. Will her life ever sort itself out?
I really enjoyed this book! I felt that the cover was captaviating as well as the story itself. I just couldn't get enough of it. From page one to the very last page I felt as if I were there with the  characters feeling what they felt and finding suspisions of my own. I have read three other books by this author and enjoyed them all very much. She is an excellent story teller and I can't wait to read more from her.

Hunter by Goran Zidar

http://www.amazon.com/Hunter-ebook/dp/B00E039X5G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1383527719&sr=8-1&keywords=Hunter+by+Goran+Zidar

Hunter  by Goran Zidar is a paranormal fantasy book. I really enjoyed the cover it goes very well with the book. It had a few spelling but nothing that really detracted from the book. I enjoyed the characters but did not feel that they were developed to the best of their abilities. The story was fast paced and flowed smoothly allowing me to read it in 2 four hour sittings. I feel as though anyone who is into fantasy books would really enjoy this one. I think that this would be a good series book and hope that the author thinks so as well and more will come. I would read them!

Floats the Dark Shadow by Yves Fey

Floats the Dark Shadow by Yves Fey is a very good read. I found it very suspenseful and I loved the mystery element to it! The characters are well developed and I found myself falling in love with their characters even the bad ones. I found no noticeable grammar or spelling errors which to me is a big plus. I absolutely love the book cover as well. It pulled me in by just looking at it. I think this author did a very good job and I would love to read any of her other works. I would recommend this book to any of my friends who liked mystery or thrillers in general.

Guardians by Anthony Cupitt

Guardians by Anthony Cupitt is a paranormal action adventure story. It is a classic good vs. evil theme. I really liked how it began in part one but felt that by chapter two it became slow and hard to get through the rest of part one. With that said however, Part two really grabbed and kept my attention throughout it. I really wish that there had been more to the ending. I felt like it was almost a cliff hanger for a second book and if so I would love to read it as well. I did note a few spelling errors here and there but nothing that really took away from the story. I also wish they had done something more with the cover. It isn’t as eye catching with just the shield. I wish they had used something else in the story for it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes this genre. It is a good read.
