The One (Species Intervention Series #6609) by J. K. Accinni

The One is the sixth installment to the species intervention series. This book follows the survivors through the many years in the hive and when they finally leave it to see the new world. It isn't my favorite installment of the book as I didn't feel that it had as much emotion or action as some of the others in the series. However I still found it to be a very good read! I like how it tied all the loose ends together, and we FINALLY learn who The One really is! It wasn't as unexpected as I thought it would be either. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and still find myself wishing for just one more book because I felt the ending still left some things to be anwsered, though not many. I must sadly just accept that this is the end for now. I hope Accini thinks about picking it up again in the future  or starting another equally amazing series.

Hello! A Modern Love Story By EJourney

http://www.amazon.com/Hello-Love-aka-Modern-Story-ebook/dp/B00FIDG12U/ref=cm_pdp_rev_itm_img_1

Hello (A Modern Love Story)  by EJourney is not your typical romance novel.  It is much more modern day just as the cover suggest. It seems much more realistic to me because it is a love story where neither of the characters are perfect. We have, Greg a man who inherited his fathers fortune and company, and  Elise a young  girl still in college to be a lawyer. They meet by chance and she dislikes him from the start. How can a love blossom out of this?

I enjoyed this story a lot due to its realistic viewpoint. I think the character development was good, but I would have liked a more in depth background of the characters. The book did seem pretty predictable at times. I liked how the cover depicts the vision I have of the two main characters. I didn’t notice any grammar problems while reading it. All in all I think the author did a pretty good job. I would recommend this to many of my friends who like romance novels to read for a weekend, as I found it pretty short.

Beware The Ills by Patrick W. Marsh

http://www.amazon.com/Beware-Ills-Caged-Thunder-ebook/dp/B00DTW03F8/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1381252992&sr=1-1&keywords=beware+the+ills

Beware The Ills by Patrick W. Marsh is listed in the horror genre, however I think it should be listed in the war genre and fantasy genre instead. Although it is not a war between man in the conventional sense, as it has monsters and other beast, it is basically a story of war games of a man who’s name we never learn and his friend Blue. They feel it is their job to protect their land from outlanders and monsters that wander onto the island.

I liked the cover of the book being black and white with the forest seemingly surrounding you. It gives you a sense of mystery. However with the nostalgia that the cover gave me I felt let down by its contents. I found the story very descriptive, which I like in a book, but lacking the thrill of a good horror book. I did note a few grammar errors throughout the book, but they didn’t affect the story itself. I also noticed that some of the things in the story seemed repetitive. I would probably recommend this to someone for a weekend read, as it is short. I would only recommend it to someone who likes war stories as well as fantasy, because I feel like that is what it is better classified under. If you don’t like stories with a ton of battles this is not the book for you.

Stones Data by Jacob Whaler

http://www.amazon.com/Stones-Data-ebook/dp/B00EQEF2LI/ref=cm_cr-mr-title

Stones Data by Jacob Whaler is a sci-fi, action, and adventure story all rolled into one. It is a classic good vs. evil story although it isn’t immediately evident. The character development is very well developed and makes you feel for each character and their plight, including the bad ones. We have Matt, a young adult itching to have his freedom from his dad and be on his own, who gets an internship at a school in Japan. We have Jessica his girlfriend, who is in love with him and believes in him no matter what. Kent, Matt’s dad, who is worried for his sons well being as any parent would be, and a host of other characters. Where will Matt’s adventure take him, and what will we find?

I enjoyed this book very much. The book cover is good, although I feel that if the font of the title were smaller you would be able to see and enjoy the cover art more. I didn’t note any real editing or grammatical errors while reading it either. From chapter one to the very last page I found myself absorbed into the story and wanting more. I loved the attention to detail, because it made me feel like I was there. The imagination of Whaler to write this story is great. I would recommend this book to any of my friends who like Sci-fi or adventure stories. I would love to read any future books to this series as well!
